With sad heart I have to admit that this is not jasmine. Thanks to Layman for the info, although I really want it to be a non-poisonous plant, but as a matter of fact Nerium Oleander L is a poisonous plant that could kill people.
Taken from a website, it says that “All parts of the oleander are poisonous, because of this, the plant should be restricted to locations where direct contact with people will be limited.”
For now I think it is still safe to have this Oleander in my garden. But perhaps in years to come I should consider removing it..huhu!
Too bad. The scent & whiskers is interesting in flowers. Anyway, there are others as poisonous, eg caladium, but then is abundantly planted.
If those are planted as decorative plants and landscape features, it is OK. But as a plant in house area, I’m scared any child will take the leaf or flower to main masak-masak later…hehehe.
This Oleander can also be used as medicine for cancer. I have a small plant growing in my house that is not enough for my wife who has cancer. So can any kind soul allowed me to take clipping from their plant to make into medicine. My email is
[email protected] & my h/p is 012 2093071
